Kualifikasi :
* D3 or S1 in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis or Chemical Engineering; or SMK-SMAK graduate with strong relevant experience.
* Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in an analytical or quality control laboratory.
* Practical experience operating gas chromatography is essential; GC-MS operation and interpretation is strongly preferred.
* Able to read, understand and apply English-language ISO methods and customer specifications.
* Competent in Microsoft Excel and in maintaining accurate written records.
* Demonstrated integrity in reporting analytical results, including unfavourable ones.
* Methodical, organised, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
* Experience with essential oils, aroma chemicals, flavour and fragrance, food or agro-commodity testing.
* Hands-on experience with Shimadzu instruments and LabSolutions software.
* Experience developing or transferring GC methods.
* Prior exposure to an ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory environment.
* Experience preparing Certificates of Analysis and Safety Data Sheets.

Job Description :
* To take full day-to-day ownership of the quality control laboratory — testing, instrumentation, documentation and organisation. The successful candidate will be trained and assessed by an external laboratory consultant during the first three months.
* Perform routine analysis of patchouli oil, clove oil and clove-derived aroma chemicals: acid value, specific gravity, optical rotation, refractive index and colour.
* Operate Shimadzu GC-FID and GC-MS: sample preparation, injection, peak integration, library searching and interpretation of results.
* Determine patchouli alcohol content, eugenol content and purity of derivatives in accordance with the applicable standard.
* Screen incoming and outgoing material for adulteration and unexpected components using GC-MS. • Verify system suitability before releasing any analytical result.
* Investigate out-of-specification and anomalous results, document the investigation, and escalate promptly to the Technical Manager.
